YOGA RETREAT IN THE FRENCH COUNTRYSIDE
For five years, Château du Grand Val has been our Soul Space during the Summer. The beautiful castle is located in Brittany, France – a place
far away from everyday stress, surrounded by breathtaking views and undiscovered nature. Bretagne is one of the most beautiful places in France, a hidden gem and an all time favorite with the The Soul Space Family. We practice yoga in the castle garden, meditate in a chapel from the 1400s and shake by the lake.
In between classes, our marvellous chefs will treat us with delicious meals, which of course are made of local plant-based ingredients. Most of the products are grown just around the corner. During your free time, you can jump in the swimming pool, read in the garden or take a stroll on the beautiful trails. So prepare yourself for an exciting week full of yoga, meditation, playtime, soul work, and self-discovery.
ALL YOU NEED TO KNOW
Château du Grand Val and the village Combourg are located in Brittany, only a 30-minute road trip from the ocean and the city of Rennes.
The Journey is incredibly simple – choose from one of the many airlines that fly directly to Paris or Rennes from either Gothenburg, Stockholm or Copenhagen. Or take the train the entire way.
From Paris, you can catch the fast TGV train, which takes three hours from Charles de Gaulle. Another great way getting to the castle is by renting a car, maybe together with some of your fellow retreaters.
From Rennes, it’s just a short but beautiful road trip, either by train or taxi. Just ask us if you want more guidance.
The price for this Soul Space retreat include accommodation at Château du Grand Val, six days of yoga and meditation classes, delicious and healthy food – breakfast, lunch and dinner.

A DAY WITH THE SOUL SPACE
MORNING MEDITATION IN SILENCE
As the sun is rising we gather for our first morning meditation – beginning the day by softly arriving into our bodies. Meanwhile,
our talented chefs have prepared a yummie and fresh breakfast. Mmm…we love to be spoiled. Up until now we have been breathing together in silence – a beautiful and self-exploratory way to start the day.
FREE FLOW YOGA AND LET GO
After our delicious breakfast, we are ready to enter the mat again, this time for a flowing practice. A class where we have the Vinyasa Flow yoga as a base, but we let go of performance, perfection, and the pursuit of attaining a future goal to instead completely arrive into your heart and body – turning off the outside for a while. Just as the yoga session comes to an end – when the body and mind have landed in a magic state – you begin to notice the scent of an irresistible lunch that is waiting for us. In between sessions there are fantastic opportunities to enjoy the beautiful scenery with a walk, relax by the pool, explore the picturesque village or maybe just get lost in a good book.
BREATHING IN THE SOUL SPACE
Towards the afternoon, it’s time for another exciting spiritual session, which lasts until the sun has set, painting the sky with bright colors. After getting cleaned up, we gather to enjoy a fantastic dinner, which will be loved by both your body and your taste buds.
